1. Introduction and Scope
Foundation Israel (“Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the private platform at foundation-israel.com and related domains (the “Platform”), is committed to protecting the privacy of approved brokers, sourcers, operators, and their authorized representatives.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use the Platform.
This Policy is incorporated by reference into:
- the Platform Terms of Service (“TOS”),
- the applicable role NDA (Broker or Operator),
- the applicable Program Terms, and
- the Data Processing Notice.
By accessing the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described herein. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
- Identification and contact data: name, email, phone, date of birth, address, nationality, government-issued ID.
- Tax and identity numbers as required for KYC.
- Account and profile data: role (broker/sourcer or operator), admissions track (licensed or sourcer), onboarding responses.
- License and professional data (where applicable): Israeli real-estate agent license (רישיון תיווך) number and evidence, fitness/clean-record declarations, for entities the list of licensed agents who will act and each agent’s personal license evidence; operator trade licenses/permits where applicable.
- Entity data: legal name, registrar/formation details, registered address, directors, beneficial owners, authorized representative details.
- KYC/AML data: identity documents, sanctions/PEP responses, supporting uploads in the legal vault.
- Deal and project data you submit: Opportunity materials, owner/counterparty details you choose to include, milestone Update Content, progress notes.
2.2 Platform Usage and Technical Data
- Portal activity, document views, signature events, support messages.
- IP address, device identifiers, browser type, access logs, security analytics.
2.3 Sensitive Data
We do not seek special-category data for standard broker or operator paths. If you voluntarily provide such data, we process it only as needed to handle your request and secure the Platform.
3. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you during apply, onboarding, deal submission, project reporting, and profile updates.
- Automatically through essential cookies, logs, and security tools.
- From verification vendors (identity, sanctions, license checks) under contract.
- From Foundation affiliates when needed for referral to Foundation Capital or group compliance, under appropriate safeguards.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
(a) provide Platform access, onboarding, legal vault, and role-specific tools; (b) complete KYC/AML, sanctions, and (where applicable) license verification; (c) review Opportunities and administer assigned Projects; (d) process Update Content and related project communications; (e) communicate notices and compliance refresh requests; (f) enforce the NDA, Program Terms, and TOS; (g) comply with law and protect the Platform; (h) improve security and reliability (prefer de-identified data where practical).
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for third-party behavioral advertising.
5. How We Share and Disclose Information
We share information only as needed:
- Service providers (hosting, identity verification, sanctions screening, e-signature, email) under contract.
- Foundation affiliates (including Foundation Capital) when required to evaluate referred Opportunities, operate funded Projects, or meet group compliance duties.
- Professional advisers under confidentiality duties.
- Legal and safety disclosures required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
- Corporate transactions, with successors bound by equivalent protections.
6. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to KYC and deal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and logging. You must protect your credentials.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data for the relationship life, for statutory AML/tax/contract retention, and as needed for the purposes above. NDA confidentiality survives as stated in the NDA. When data is no longer required, we delete or irreversibly anonymize it where feasible, subject to legal holds.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing, subject to verification and legal limits (including AML retention).
- Israel: rights under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law 5741-1981 and related regulations.
- EEA/UK: GDPR rights where applicable.
- California: CCPA/CPRA rights; we do not sell personal information.
- Other regions: rights under local law.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Essential cookies support authentication, security, and core features. Disabling them may prevent login. We do not use tracking for cross-site advertising.

Foundation Israel may use infrastructure or vendors in Israel, the EU, UK, US, or other countries, and may share limited data with Foundation Capital or other Foundation affiliates for referral and Project administration. Where required, transfers use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy mechanisms, or other tools required by applicable law).
11. Children
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect children’s data for broker or operator accounts.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required, notified by email or portal notice.
